Challenge
A high number of young people in West Africa are living in extreme poverty, exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic and climate hazards. Poverty increases the rates of famine, crime, gender-based violence, harassment, and social inequality-induced crises.
Description
LITEFINANCE will assist the youth in finding financial assistance or employment by keeping them informed about available opportunities through its website, social media, and community events. It will also install internet centers in rural regions and help young entrepreneurs with training, internships, and crowdfunding campaigns.
Outcomes
WORLDLITE's LITEFINANCE initiative envisions:
- Impacting 21,000,000 young people by helping them find employment or financial assistance.
- Empowering 1,820 young entrepreneurs to implement microprojects.
- Creating 342 internet centers in rural regions to facilitate access to opportunities.
