Challenge
Over 400 billion naira (equivalent of 4.6 billion dollars) in purchasing power parity (PPP) was reported to exchange hands annually amongst public servants in Nigeria. Resources meant to provide basic public goods and services are siphoned, diverted and/or embezzled by government officials entrusted with such responsibilities. This deprives communities and households of their most basic needs and social services.
Description
Our solution is to design proven unconventional, locally-adapted activities that help young public servants (between 18 and 38 years) to build and develop strong work ethics, values system as well as technical skills that enable them to develop the character that promotes ethical behaviors. The goal is to catch them young before the system corrupts them.
