Discovery + Delivery of Essential Medical Products

Last update: October 05, 2023

OverviewContributors

Challenge

LifeBank operates in Lagos and Abuja, and serves over 370 hospitals in these regions, giving over 30M people 24/7 access to essential medical products like blood and oxygen. Although LifeBank's direct customers are hospitals, the end users of our products are patients from every socio-economic level. Our clients range from government-run public hospitals that serve low and middle-income patients, to private hospitals. LifeBank's approach expands access to vulnerable groups by coordinating with public sector institutions such as NBTS and LUTH, who are safer, more affordable sources of blood, to their supply to hospitals who may otherwise not have access to blood due to logistical reasons. Our work organizing blood drives with LUTH is also gradually eliminating the need for family replacement donors.
