Description
Kenya Connect promotes cross-cultural exchange and grassroots community-building across continents through its pen pal program. North American students participate in letter exchanges with Kenyan students while fundraising for their pen pals' schools. Kenya Connect tracks the following: all letters that are exchanged from Kenya and schools around the world, number of schools involved, all donations to schools, test scores on national exams, and absenteeism rates in schools. The Pen Pal program is monitored by reviewing the consistency of communication. User feedback is gained from pupils and teachers in both schools. The School Sponsorship program aims to improve pupil attendance by improving health provisions.
