Challenge

The problem addresses SDG 11 and supports Disaster Risk Reduction to flooding and other events that makes cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. Planning and mitigation strategies need to incorporate cutting edge mobile medical technologies that will build human capacity and enable cities to become more resilient to disasters.

Description

We developed a mobile, telemedical response system that supports Disaster Risk Reduction. The technologies can be deployed and utilized in a variety of ways. Medical kits can be pre-positioned and/ or transported via drone technologies to provide aerial reconnaissance, aid in preparing populations for potential disaster, and bring medical resources to the area. Through the power of telemedicine, we guide affected individuals building human capacity to take life-saving actions.
