Challenge

We are working in Nandurbar District, Maharashtra. Every year crores of rupees are being spent on different development projects in Nandurbar but it is not showing the intended results. Although there are many reasons behind it, lack of awareness and low level of people’s participation is a major reason behind it. This also causes corruption. Due to lack of proper communication channels between people and government, many relevant issues get unnoticed by the government.

Description

We are making short films, videos, and news videos entirely on mobile phones to create social awareness on local issues, different government schemes, and against fake news in the local language. Once produced, we screen these mobile short videos in different village meetings on mobile projectors and share them on different social media platforms. If there is any issue, we raise it to the concerned officials or government. We are using hyperlocal journalism as a tool to create awareness.
