About Piʌot Project

The Piʌot Project is a people powered movement for regenerative transformation. We are an emergent collective of around 90 regenerative practitioners exploring opportunities to create change at scale by using people power to leverage people and organisations working for systemic transformation. We began our work at the beginning of 2024, guided by Bayo Akomolafe's wisdom that "The times are urgent, we must slow dow", with a Year of Listening during which we have been working to identify opportunities for collective intervention. Our theory of change: The problem is our system is eating the future and we aren't creating transformational change at scale in response. Our key audiences are citizens, the 56% who know the system isn't working, and business leaders who know they need to do better Our big idea is to develop practical solutions that give people the collective agency to create systemic change We'll discover how to do this by working collectively in an emergent fashion, to discover and develop opportunities. In the long term we want to capitalise on this pivotal moment for change to create a more beautiful future Our methodology is participatory, collective and emergent, taking the best of the learning from design thinking, innovation, communications and enterprise, and re-applying it to the regenerative transformation that future generations long for. Typically this means collectively listening to and sensing the field, working collaboratively to scope diverging opportunities and convergently to make the future more malleable in the form of prototypes and experiments. By demonstrating what is possible, we intend to establish partnerships and pathways that form a foundation from which to scale out interventions. We are an unconstituted collective, which manages our finances transparently via Open Collective, with Huddlecraft as our Fiscal Host. We are currently also underway with a Collective Imagination Practice Community funded project 'Forking Beautiful Futures' to imagine alternate futures that 'fork' off from current business and government decisions.
