About Jubilant Money
Jubilant Money is an anonymous wealth transfer platform designed to close the immense racial wealth gap in the U.S. by addressing both sides of the net worth equation. Our site provides crowdfunded debt payoff, facilitates asset transfers, and offers culturally relevant financial coaching. Gift Recipients are Black households seeking to grow generational wealth by reducing their debt burden and acquiring assets in an effort to achieve their personal finance goals. Gift Givers are people with wealth who seek to use their resources to address the racial wealth gap in the U.S. Gift Givers can browse the anonymous profiles and choose a Gift Recipient to help pay down their liabilities and/or transfer assets. All gifts given through the Jubilant Money platform are paid directly to the lenders. Jubilant Money was created to foster healing from the impacts of an extractive and exploitative economic systems on both those who have generational wealth and those who are trying to grow it. Our goal is to promote financial wellness among Black households who have been most harmed by racism and economic injustice which creates and perpetuates the racial wealth gap, while also highlighting the need for creating better systems for BIPOC communities to access, create and maintain wealth. Our vision is a future free of wealth inequality & full of black joy. Our values are: Joy - We are convinced that personal finance can be a catalyst for joy. Jubilant Money demonstrates how finance can forsake a legacy of extraction and exploitation and foster freedom and community. Generosity - We are radically redefining generosity by modeling a new approach to gift giving and expanding the notion of who is worthy of good gifts. Jubilation - We are committed to celebrating Black folks as they achieve their financial goals, become debt-free, grow wealth for their families, and contribute generously to the thriving of their communities.
