About Inkludo Impact Foundation
Brief about our organization: Inkludo a US- based public charity was founded to catalyze financial markets for social entrepreneurs in the Global South. By providing guarantees to local lenders and underdeveloped financial markets, we reduce risk and encourage them to fund local innovators. We also provide technical assistance to impact intermediaries, helping them strengthen market channels and bring viable businesses to scale. This dual approach—financial and technical—allows social enterprises to thrive, creating open, sustainable financial systems in underserved regions. The timing for Inkludo’s mission is critical due to several converging factors: social enterprises are rapidly expanding across the Global South, creating scalable solutions in agriculture, energy, and healthcare. However, the unprecedented demand for capital to fund these innovations has left local financial institutions unprepared. Additionally, increasing barriers to free markets and capital flows highlight the need for more localized solutions. As philanthropists and foundations face "donor fatigue," they are seeking sustainable, scalable impact investment models, and Inkludo offers a compelling approach to foster self-sustaining ecosystems of innovation. With deep experience in India, Inkludo’s founding team is committed to developing a global, scalable financial solution to address these urgent needs. Inkludo will begin in India and, based on fundraising success and impact, expand to other countries across the Global South. Our approach is to target areas where the need for impact finance is greatest and where scalable solutions can make a transformative difference. Please note: We have set up the entity in the US in Delaware, application for tax exemption status will be made in October. We are seeking funding for obtaining relevant legal advice on contracts to operationalize our financing facility. We estimate it will take 3 months to have the terms and governance structures put in place and a year to see it in scale.
