Many students in Southeast Asia lack access to financing for their higher education, condemning them to continued poverty. Myanmar and Cambodia—Zomia's two focus countries—combined account for one million missing students.

Zomia provides student loans to talented students from marginalized communities in Southeast Asia. Zomia provides a borderless loan solution for students. No motor bikes. No cash. No brick-and-mortar field offices. To achieve this, we build our own loan software and deeply integrate with mobile payment providers and other cloud-based solutions. The end result is a loan product that reaches students regardless of where they're from or where they want to study.

Since 2014, Zomia has provided 128 students with >$500k in student loans, collected >$30k in repayments, and maintained a 0% default rate. We are now seeking funding partners to help us scale to reach more talented students from marginalized communities.
