Challenge

Due to the growing vulnerability of Syrian refugee children and youth in Lebanon, and the lack of quality and relevant education, children are increasingly dropping out of schools and becoming exposed to child labor, exploitation, and early marriage. There is a critical need for programs that reconnect these children with education and equip them with relevant skills for the future.

Description

The "STEM For Refugees" program provides quality, relevant education focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) to Syrian refugee children, equipping them with 21st-century skills and knowledge. The program focuses on hands-on and contextual experiences leading to practical solutions applicable in their lives. It empowers learners with teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills.
