Challenge
Illiteracy is rife in Pakistan, denying citizens access to education, health, employment opportunities, and the chance of more secure livelihoods. Being unable to read or develop interest in education means children cannot access wider curriculum and knowledge and struggle to achieve age-appropriate learning outcomes. This failure to progress contributes to high drop-out rates and an accompanying lack of self-esteem. The existing local material for kids lack variety, engagement, and fun.
Description
The provision of stimulating content presented in an engaging manner can positively impact the learning abilities of young children. Hence, we propose the development and distribution of high quality material that entertains and encourages children to think out of the box, understand STEM, and empowers young kids for life-long learning. Digital conversion of existing creative assets and creation of new ones will provide desired scalability and outreach to over 2 million kids globally.
Outcomes
+150,000 kids impacted in 23 regions across Pakistan; plans to reach over 2 million kids globally in the next three years.
