Challenge

To achieve stable socioeconomic development, Africa desperately needs more scientists and engineers. However, for many primary school students across Africa, there is a growing divide between what they see on the teacher’s board and what they experience in their environment. The lack of practical science has made the subject seem difficult and uninteresting. Because of this, there is a general disinterest in science. As part of that is the huge cost of constructing a science lab.

Description

We have created the science set. A cost-effective and highly scalable text-book-size science lab for the teaching and learning of practical science in schools across Africa. Imagine every student owning their own personal lab; portable, affordable, easy to implement, and highly effective way to introduce students to innovation, technology, and problem-solving. The revolutionary science set makes quality education highly accessible and increases the interest and performance of students in science.
