Malaria is still a global concern and currently the world is faced with COVID-19 and there is no cure except the preventative measures in place to protect the people from contracting COVID-19" which is causing a lot of catastrophe, mostly in the Western World & Asia. Uganda malaria is number one killer disease, the mosquito repellent will provide extra layer of protection to our front-line health workers & the military against COVID-19 & Malaria emulating the British Military version.
Description
Our innovation description of Roperfree mosquito repellents focuses on three concepts:
1. Prevent mosquito bites in order to reduce malaria deaths and illness while building a health nation which drive the economy of the country in order to attain economic growth.
2. Prevent COVID-19 from spreading from touching surfaces & give extra layer of protection so that people do not get direct contact with the virus.
3. Create more product knowledge and sensitization campaigns geared to malaria and COVID-19. Our prime object is to prevent deaths and illnesses caused by mosquito bites such as malaria and other mosquito transmitted diseases plus stopping COVID-19 while using also the existing preventative tools already in place. The application of repellent is being used now by the British Military who have evidence that mosquito repellents provides protection against the coronavirus.
The mosquito repellents will assist the front line health workers & the military at the boarder posts who are largely exposed to mosquito bites & COVID-19. The mosquito repellents contain citriodiol & does not have deet may have the potential to protect against the novel coronavirus. The products dissolves over time and is usually used to add a layer to the skin to prevent mosquito/insect bites.Citridiol is part of an active ingredient found in Roperfree mosquito/insect repellent got from eucalyptus citriodora trees which we grow ourselves plus other herbs such as; Cymbopogon & Rosmarinus officinalis
Outcomes
Reduce malaria by 50% in Uganda, provide extra protection against COVID-19 and malaria for front-line health workers and military personnel.
