Challenge

The COVID-19 Pandemic has literally hit the pause button on education globally and especially in India. The 300 million children in India and the 1.2 billion children globally are the silent victims of the COVID-19 Pandemic and a significant impact on the mental health and well-being of children as well as their families is seen. Teachers are now required to quickly adapt to online teaching with little or no training and lack the skills to act as mental health soldiers for their students.

Description

We are training teachers from Government and low-income private schools on digital skills and best practices of remote teaching and equipping them on how to take online classes effectively, managing learning schedules for students and taking care of their physical and mental well-being, and effective communication with parents, imparting the right information to children and their families about COVID-19 and the right practices being followed during this lockdown to remain safe.

Outcomes

280K+ teachers trained, impacting 15M+ children annually. Potential to scale and impact 30-50 million children and their families.
