A typical Bottom Billion retail store experiences severe problems with inefficient POS systems, dumb inventory systems, inaccurate forecasting, frequent stock outs, poor access to working capital, weak profitability, poor record keeping, and hence low access to credit for growth. Additionally, low-quality inventory and poor health outcomes for served communities in pharmaceuticals retail sector are prevalent. Medicine in poor neighborhoods is often more expensive and frequently runs out.
Description
ProNOV platform helps micro and nano-store owners manage their inventories to improve profitability and affordability of their merchandise by organizing micro-retailer users into cohorts, digitizing their operations with an inventory management system coupled with smart POS systems, bulk breaking, access to finance, and data analysis.
Outcomes
Successfully deployed in over 2,500 PPMVs in Nigeria, supporting COVID-19 distribution efforts, improved efficiencies and profitability for micro and nano-store owners.
