Challenge

COVID has not only caused a health crisis but also a financial crisis with the poor and vulnerable population hit hard. During the lockdown, an estimated 140 million people in India lost employment and millions of migrant workers walked across India to their native place. COVID also significantly increased the cases of domestic violence. In addition, there was a lack of affordable protective wear products to deploy at scale for a developing country like India.

Description

We are countering this crisis by empowering women to make protective wear such as masks, face shields, and PPE kits. We have trained and engaged more than 5000 women and sold more than 1.5 million COVID care products at an ultra-affordable price point. We provide end-to-end support from raw material procurement to assuring buyback on material.
