Challenge

Humanitarian aid fails to reach millions in need and there has been occasions of mismatch between support and need in terms of quantity or content. There is a need for systems which bring the needer and supporter together, where needer can speak for himself, quantify the exact amount of need and call for action accordingly. Collection of data is one problem and visualization of this data in an engaging way to call for support is another. All beneficiaries should come together through a system.

Description

Needs Map, with its peer to peer map-based data platform, makes humanitarian aid delivery possible. The needs can be listed in details with exact amounts needed. Anyone who wants to support is able to support any time and within their budget. A need can be met by more than one supporter collectively and when the total need is supported, the transaction is marked as done. All potential beneficiaries collaborate in Needs Map through the data visualization and online collaboration system developed.
