Challenge
Schools are closed, and students and pupils cannot learn as before. Assessments are challenging due to the inaccessibility of course material remotely, exacerbating the drop-out rates in Africa, a region already struggling with educational continuity. Additionally, low internet and power coverage hinder remote learning.
Description
Miya Academy addresses these issues by providing assessments and course content (videos, notes, and MCQs) through the web (PWA) and mobile apps. The system offers career orientation based on cumulative assessment data, making it accessible even without constant internet or reliable power.
Outcomes
Benefiting 473 lives in Cameroon, Miya Academy has provided a flexible, offline-accessible educational resource that aids in career orientation and educational continuity during school closures.
