Challenge
Over the years, our educational system has failed to equip children in literacy, creativity, and STEM, causing many young people to lose interest in school at an early stage. Having lived in the community and seen the huge problem, a movement was started in 2009 to make a difference.
Description
The project runs three major programs: 1. Continuous Teacher Training Support - providing professional training and equipping teachers with innovative skills for effective teaching and learning. 2. Literacy and STEM Hub. 3. Child Dream Conference - an annual 5 day long camp to equip young people with skills.
Outcomes
The project has mentored over 600 young people across Northern Ghana, offering mentoring and coaching in Literacy, Leadership, and STEM.
