High-quality, affordable health care facilities

As a U.S.-based nonprofit, we fill the gaps left by governmental, temporary, and narrowly-focused healthcare efforts by building affordable and accessible healthcare facilities that provide a full scope of medical services.

OverviewContributors

Challenge

Many people in developing countries do not have access to good healthcare. While quality healthcare is available in the private setting, the majority of the population cannot afford the costs. The alternative, the underfunded public system, typically results in dangerous wait times, improper diagnosis and treatment, and limited access to needed services.

Description

By creating sustainable medical centers that offer affordable services, OneWorld Health is increasing accessibility to high-quality healthcare. We develop funding partnerships to build medical centers and subsidize operations during the startup period. Each medical center is opened with national staff who receive ongoing training, and we have an affordable pricing model that keeps prices low but results in 100% operational sustainability within 24 months of opening.
