Challenge

Micronutrient deficiencies are prevalent in developing countries, and there is a need for cost-effective, fast, and reliable methods to assess these deficiencies at the household and community levels.

Description

The Food Frequency Method Online (FFMO) is an online adaptation of the scientifically validated Food Frequency Method. It allows users to set up, customize, and conduct surveys to assess micro-nutrient deficiencies. It was built by Sonjara for the USAID Hack4Hunger Hackathon and presented at the Iowa Hunger Summit. The tool leverages digital technology and Open Data to provide accurate assessments faster than traditional paper-based surveys.
