Challenge

Many healthcare & societal problems are either completely preventable or curable. Some examples are maternal, infant mortality, infectious diseases, reproductive health and populations stabilization and gender based violence. Resource poor communities suffer because of knowledge deficit, unhealthy social norms and inability to afford solutions, which rely entirely on increasing the supply of drugs, devices and manpower.

Description

Social behavior change , which emphasizes individual and community responsibility to maintain good health is the least expensive and sustainable solution to reduce the disease burden. This people driven solution reduces demand on meager resources and and improves accountability of the health system. A common platform of activists can address multiple health and societal problems.
