OverviewContributors

Challenge

Inefficient storage methods for fruits and vegetables often result in significant post-harvest losses, especially for women vegetable growers, due to lack of refrigeration and electrical issues.

Description

The Ecooler is a wooden layered structural unit that operates on the principle of evaporative cooling. It circulates water to an evaporative pad, resulting in cooling powered by solar energy. This helps prolong the shelf life of produce and is cost-effective compared to traditional methods like refrigerators.
