Challenge

Poor learning level of children in government schools, low girls' enrollment and lack of community's involvement in school's functioning in backward Mewat region of Rajasthan in Alwar district

Description

Our intervention focuses on improving learning outcomes (primary section), improving school teaching & learning environment and strengthening SMCs. The intervention is designed to provide qualitative inputs for primary classes in Hindi and Math to improve basic competencies of students and inculcating reading habit by setting up a library. Along with this it also aims to improve overall school environment and strengthen School Management Committee of school.

1. Significant improvement in learning levels in 100 schools. 2. Plans to replicate the model in 1000 schools in other parts of Rajasthan with poor educational status of children especially of girls.
