Challenge

Over 145 million trees, 55 billion litres of water and 14 billion litres of oil are used every year to produce the global consumption of paper receipts and with over 75% of receipts being thrown in the bin, this produces 10 million tonnes of waste every year. What is more alarming is that most paper receipts are produced using a toxin called bisphenol A (BPA) that makes them non-recyclable. Recycling paper reduces emissions of greenhouse gases that cause global warming.

Description

Amrue is an interactive intelligent receipt with bank grade security that allows customers to view their receipt directly in their banking app, thus doing away with paper. We partner with banks to link our intelligent receipt to their client’s bank card and also partner with retailers to integrate our technology into their point of sale devices. This way when a customer makes a purchase with their bank card their receipt is automatically delivered to their mobile banking app.
