Challenge

Liberia is one of the most poverty-stricken countries in the world with approximately 4.9 million people many of whom are young people accounting for 66% of the total population. According to the UNDP Human Development Report, 2015 stated that 85% of Liberian people live of less than US$1.25 dollar a day. Lack of quality and affordable education, quality and affordable healthcare, corruption and youth empowerment are the main factors responsible for these challenging problems.

Description

ACASI has a daring and efficient accelerated program designed for underprivileged youths to be empowered and integrated into mainstream society thereby contributing to their communities and influence change. Our solution is based on the most acclaimed model in the world: the Disciplined Entrepreneurship Framework designed by MIT and monitored by multi-award winners from some of the world's top Universities. Our planned Innovation Lab (ILab) will be the first of its kind in Liberia.
