2023
AllSkills Tech (focussed on software for social good) was founded in 2023 and AllSkills Education CLG (focussed on delivery of digital and financial literacy) incorporated in 2025. Our flagship product is FLIT Financial Literacy, an award-winning digital financial literacy platform for women. Under AllSkills Tech, founder Deirdre McCarthy has participated in hackathons with prizewinning projects such as EV charging point locator, neurodiversity support site, Housing security, AI-Medical data-sharing platform. In March 2024, FLIT.ie won 2nd place at TechStars Startup Weekend Women Dublin. The business and software have since evolved with access to funding totalling c. €25K and incubators via Local Enterprise, Enterprise Ireland, Rethink Ireland (social enterprise) and 'Lovable Shipped' programmes. We've performed extensive market research via surveys, focus groups, participation in financial/ women/ social industry seminars and delivered training to women undergoing costly fertility treatment, solo women, migrants, retirees and single parents across a series of initiatives during 2025. This work has been recognised by womens groups e.g. Network Ireland (Emerging Business) Winner (Carlow) and recent national award nominations Diversity in Tech (Startup Visionary), Fintech Ireland (Diversity) and Evoke Wellness (Financial) awards. The current version of FLIT.ie is AI-enabled and displays entitlements and education relevant to a woman's lifestage (e.g. early career, maternity, parenting, caring, peri-menopause, menopause, retirement) and circumstances (income, family situation, dependents, caring responsibilities), highlighting financial opportunities (government grants and supports, tax rebates/credits). FLIT will help the person navigate to claim any untapped benefits, understand and organise their financial lives through good debt management, savings and pensions opportunities. FLIT is currently at MVP version 3 with a reasonable user interface with proof of concept for entitlements prompting, and budgeting functionality. Our next sprints will explore orchestrated AI agents to retrieve government entitlements (to be reviewed by an expert human), matchable to individual users, and assisting the user in completing application forms. In parallel we are developing digital and printed financial literacy content for training programmes. Founder Deirdre McCarthy was a recent finalist in Ireland's National AI Challenge and intends to apply those learnings to FLIT, alongside a small team of developers.
